I know the list says it is close to apple in taste but I had also read it can embark a bitter taste. Has anyone have any experience with this. I have some but have yet to use it.
 
I use it quite often. seasons quite quickly and is very close to apple.Doesn't make the best coals for us stickburners, but is great as a seasoning wood for flavor.
 
I agree with Dan, i use alot of it.
 
Thanks guys, I won't hesitate to use it then. I am quite fond of apple but not a real good supply of it around here. Lots of mulberry and cherry though.
 
Better than apple in my opinion. Much better.

When I cant get pecan Ill use hickory with mullberry.
