Anybody ever see the commercial for this new moonshine grill at Outback Steakhouse? Better yet anybody try it?
I'm very curious about it cause I've had my share of shine and they actually said something to the effect of "the sweet taste of shine in our bbq"...... I don't know what to say to that. I've had good shine from the great states of Tennessee, and kentucky, and some really piss poor shine that my buddies boss made and none of its been sweet, or anything I'd ever want to put on bbq.
Isn't the whole idea of using alcoholic beverages in sauces for bbq to get a hint of that flavor of liquor in the sauce? Even the best shine I've had is nothing I'd want in bbq sauce. There really is no flavor in pure grain alcohol. It tastes like alcohol. No flavor from the barrels cause it ain't aged....
Guess outback is just trying to cash in on the moonshine craze of the past few years. Still seems like an awful marketing ploy.
