Mom learning to grill and smoke

Good morning all! Im so excited to have discovered this site, in my personal quest of learning to grill and smoke meat. Im a single Mom in my 40's, residing in Chicago. I've enjoyed cooking all my life, and am now beginning an adventure with my grill! I plan to buy a smoker eventually, but for now, Id love to try and use my grill.

It seems there's a wealth of knowledge here and I want to learn as much as I can. Happy day before Father's Day! Sincerely, Natasha
