Hey all,Just thought I would say hi and introduce myself. I've been in the Navy all me bloomin life, stationed in Southern MD, and love the smell of hickory in the air. As of right now I have a Bradly 4 rack and am seriously contemplating buying a 2012 MES40 due to the cost of the pucks and the seals on my Bradley being shot, and to be honest its a bit small at times. I just ordered the A-maze-N Pellet smoker and a 5lb bag of PMC So I am looking forward to getting a few more shoulders on the smoke before it gets to cold out. I have been smoking mostly St Luis ribs and Boston Butts with a slightly modified version of Alton Browns Rib Rub recipe, laugh if you want but try it sometime it's the best I have had.I've been toying with smoking a bird this Turkey Day but we will have to see if we stay in town or travel. Anyhow I just wanted to say Hi Oh BTW I totally stole my avatar from one of the bacon forums it just looked so darn good, I even set it as my wallpaper at work...aspirations.

Welcome aboard the ship....this one just smokes right along.

Take a few minutes to go in and update your profile so we can all get to know you better.  I'm from the Phoenix Valley, so there aren't a lot of big ships docked here.

Welcome deadpo3t,

This is the right place to be.  Two notes:  I never laugh at Alton Brown, and it is never too cold.   I  use my MES all winter long.  Plus, I LOVE using my AMNPS to cold smoke at 30 degrees.  Its like cold smoking in a refrigerator.

Glad to have you here!
