When getting ready for a long smoke, how many briquettes should I use in my chimney to start up the smoker. Let's say its an average day, no wind and about 65 degrees.
handful, couple handfuls so probably 10-15 I'd say. Better to start off with too few than too many. Its always easier to wait a little longer for the smoker to come up to heat than get it too hot right off the bat and have to try to battle it down.
