A friend wants me to build him a reverse flow to do a whole pig. I rhino the biggest he would do is probably 100-125 pounder. I have a 100 gallon propane tank. I think it's 6 feet long and around 24 diameter. Will this be big enough? I have no experience with whole hog cooks. This would probably be trailer mounted.

Thanks,Kyle

I think I would be able to do easily do a whole pig in my 500 gallon smoker my rack space is a total of 7'x 3' but much smaller and I don't my think it would have enough room

I'd have to do a piglet in my Lang 36.

If I could find a small one I for sure would like to try it.

I don't know if this helps.
Pig & pit guideline
A 10-24 lb hog is 23-30 inches long
A 25-40 lb hog is 30-36 inches long
A 41-60 lb hog is 36-44 inches long
A 61-85 lb hog is 44-48 inches long

We would remove the grate put pig and and then put the grate into smoker. After some research and talking to a few competition cookers. I'm using a slightly larger tank still 24" diameter. But according to them I should be able to fit a 100 pounder in there racing style or butterflied if we remove the shanks and possibly head. More than likely we will do a smaller pig in the 60-80 pound range. I'm building the smoker still, will post pics when done.

This was great advice. Thank you. My 37 lb pig measured 32” long. If not for this post I would have bought one that was too small.
