Anybody here using a metal storage shed as a smokehouse? I am looking to build a smokehouse and trying to decide to do this or build from cedar. I will mostly be cold smoking sausage, but a friend of mine hot smokes in his metal shed. Curious if that's safe in case I decide to try that as well.

Thaks

Welcome to the group.

A lot of whether or not the shed will work for you depends upon the smoke/heat source you plan to use, the temperatures in your area, and finally, how big of a shed it is...

Anything can be done, and most anything that is enclosed can be used to smoke in...

I used a 5' x 3' x 6' metal shed I bought at Home Depot for $138. Smoker parts and smokehouse all together cost less than $300. Will try to attach pictures of my setup.
