This works very good for a vent on my MES. Keeps rain out and vents better. It is a six inch chimney cap from Lowes that I just set over the vent opening.

You might want to reconsider having an electric smoker in the rain?

I have it plugged into a gfci receptacle in the box on the wall. I also don't touch the smoker when wet if possible.

I was thinking of rain getting into the interior wiring.

I only have the chimney on when smoking, the rest of the time I unplug the smoker and put the cover over it. Been using it two years that way.

Sounds Great----Just checking------Some peeps don't know it's not good to get electric smokers wet.
