Here is the Smoke Box from my MES 40.  Used it one time and they sent me the new larger one.  I hate to throw it away, but if someone else wants it, it's yours!  Just pay Postage!   Maybe make a extra smoker?  A Homebuilt?  Paperweight?

Get it by Tuesday or it goes in the trash!

Welcome to SMF, Glad to have you with us.

This is the place to learn, lots of good info and helpful friendly Members.

Many of our members have years of experience in smoking meat.  They are more than happy helping Newbies learn the art.

We have members who cure there own Bacon, Hams, Jerky, Snack Sticks, Make Their own Sausage, etc. if you want to learn,
this is the place.

Don't be afraid to ask questions of them and follow their advice. You won't be sorry, you will be making great Q in no time at all...

Just remember, when curing your own meats follow the instructions included with the cure to the letter, this is not something to experiment with.

Never use more cure no mater if it is Tender Quick or Cure #1 or Cure #2 than the manufacturer says to use, this can be very dangerous.

Tender Quick and Cure#1 or Cure #2 are not interchangeable, neither Cure #1 interchangeable with Cure #2 or vise versa

How do you tell if your unit has the smaller smoking box

The one above, in the picture in Post #1, is a half drawer.

You can see it looking from the top, it is on the left side.

If it were a full drawer, it would go all the way to the right end of the box.

Thank You for all the information ! I have my new unit ordered. Thats what so great about this place JUST ASK and someone will know.

Thanks again Danny. Funny thing, USPS tracking shows it was delivered at 10:18 this morning, but the cretins at the concierge desk in my building can't seem to find it. UGH!!! Anyway, it'll turn up eventually. Thanks again for shipping it!

I don't think a loader comes with it.

None came with mine, and you can still use the old loader with the new assembly.

Thanks for the reply bear.  I looked at the old loader and took out the sheet metal that makes it half size so now it is full size like the one in the picture above.

All they send is the smoke box.  You have to modify your chip loader.  Simple job.  Side cutters and 30 seconds and the job is done.
