What a great resource this has already proven to be. My new gen 30" mes is anxious for the weekend. I've seen it somewhere on this forum before but can't find the consensus on seasoning it. Seems like the manual is not the preferred method...?
Thanks for the passion. this site smokes. Looking forward to tbs.

Welcome aboard! Glad you joined us. You've found a great place to learn and share info. Lots of friendly and knowledgeable folks here who enjoy helping. Good luck with that new MES.  I can't remember what the manual said, but seasoning is as simple as spraying a little cooking spray or a light coat of cooking oil, then firing it up for an hour or two.   BTW, you can do a search of any topic using the search window at the top of the page, and you'll get a whole list of posts and threads on that topic.
