I also use a 25' 12 gauge cord for mine.
I don't have a garage so I plan on pulling it into the kitchen this winter. Even if I cant find a way to vent out the smoke (dryer hose?) it has a lot better temperature control then my oven and I'm pretty sure an unsmoked pulled pork in it will be better then one from the crock pot.
