Mes 40 and a-maze pellet smoker

I have tried every suggestion it smoke with door open. I have taken the chip tray and loader out and close the door and it quit burning

I think you have too much foil .It looks to me like it would block the air flow from the bottom .What is in the pan on the bottom left?
