I would fire it up to 275 a couple hours, scrap it out, let cool spray with a bleach-water solution scrap it again and fire it back up to 275 for a couple more hours and scrub it out again,

Probably had some water in the pan and has been closed up all that time. Either that or rain got in? Don't leave water in the pan after a smoke.
It should clean up just fine. I would run it on as high as you can for a couple of hours, let it cool and then scrap what's left over out. Then wipe with a kitchen cleaner and it should be good to go. Heat should kill any remaining spores, but mold is in the air around us so if it is stored moist again, it can come back no matter how clean you get it.
