MES 30 bad mold

Not sure if this thing is worth keeping. What do yall think? It's been sitting for over a year.

I would fire it up to 275 a couple hours,scrap it out, let cool spray with a bleach-water solution scrap it again and fire it back up to 275 for a couple more hours and scrub it out again,

Even though it's that full of thick mold?

give it a shot you having nothing to lose, the worst thing that can happen is you throw out a cleaner smoker

I would follow smokerjim's advice. Like he said, you've nothing to lose.

it will clean up,bleach and soap and heat will kill any thing nasty

Probably had some water in the pan and has been closed up all that time. Either that or rain got in? Don't leave water in the pan after a smoke.

It should clean up just fine. I would run it on as high as you can for a couple of hours, let it cool and then scrap what's left over out. Then wipe with a kitchen cleaner and it should be good to go. Heat should kill any remaining spores, but mold is in the air around us so if it is stored moist again, it can come back no matter how clean you get it.
