Meat size cooking times.

I’m about to smoke my first brisket and I know it’s roughly an hour a pound. But is that total weight in the smoker or by piece? For example an 8 lb brisket = 8 hrs. But what about 2 four lb briskets? Is that 8 hrs or 4 hrs?

there is no way to say how long they will take, briskets are like pork butts they're done when they are done, my guess would be though they won't be done in 4 hours, so get a chair a cooler of beer and put your feet up.
