I got my Maverick from Todd a couple of weeks ago and love it. However, I can't figure out how to LOWER the temp settings on the BBQ and food min/max. HELP!! I have a brisket I need to start.
I have read the instructions at least 3 times. I must be missing something.
THANKS!!

Hunter, morning...  I have read mine several times also....  I did get the temps set once..... I figured it was too much work and just look at the "real time temps" and forget the setting alarms.... I know that doesn't help you....  I'm in the same boat.... The directions were pretty much confusing to me.....  If my granddaughter was here, she could probably set it in a flash......    Dave

Dave.....thanks for the confirmation that I'm not losing my mind. I wanted to be able to set it and get some sleep without worrying about he flame going out on my gasser......oh well.

You can't lower any alarm temps but you can keep raising the temp until it rolls over the top end back to the bottom end then keep increasing to your desired temperature...JJ

Chef JJ.......my Maverick ET-732 keeps having hot flashes!  It will be level at 230 or so and then all of a sudden spike to 250, then back down and so forth without any change to my regulator (propane smoker).  Have you ever experienced this?

I never noticed bouncing but once the Meat temp went to 237 and would not change. Ice water...237...in cold meat...237...turned off and back on...237. I just used the BBQ temp that day and tuned it off. One week later turned it on for the next smoke and all was fine. Go figure?...JJ

Thanks Jimmy......tried that last night and it didn't work. Tried it just now and Presto.....it worked. I think the Maverick must have had 1 too many Miller Lites last night......LOL

Thanks for the advice....it started working fine after I posted that, but good to know the technique next time it happens.

Well, time to go pull my pork to see how I did today!
