I recently purchased a Maverick 732 from Amazon.  When I got it, I tried to sync it with the receiver and followed the directions in the instructions to the letter!!!!   It would not sync and sometimes showed one temp and one HHH or LLL.  Thinking that I might have received weak batteries, I put in new batteries.  That did not help so I returned it and ordered another.  The same thing happened with the second Maverick.  Thinking that the problem might be mine, I called the Maverick company in NJ.  The woman who answered asked several questions about what I had done, but could not suggest any way to get it running.  She was not very friendly and I told her that this thermometer had received quite a few very negative reviews on the Amazon web site.  When I asked her if these reviews were indicative of this product she said "Some people like this thermometer and some don't"!!

I have now returned the 2nd 732, asked to have my $ returned and ordered a Thermopen.  I know this will not do the perform the same function but, I can not find a similiar product that has good reviews.  The Thermopen seems to have great reviews so will have to open the door a few times to take the temps of my meat.

I had a problem with mine all I did was turn them both off then back on in the opposite order I did the first time and they worked fine. Jeff at amazenproducts.com may be of some help to you send him a message.
