Has anyone used Maple for smoking brisket? I have an abundance of maple since my dad cut his maple tree down 2 years ago, just wondering if it was any good.

Sorry for the multiple posts, can't figure out how to delete the other ones
I have used Maple, in fact I have a bunch in the shed. I have never used it straight up, always mixed it with apple. I'm sure it would be fine.
