That cave of yours is looking good Steve, but when the heck do you sleep? Your posts are all around the clock dials.

Thanks! I sleep when I can. I suffer from both sleep apnea. And border line insomniac. I get along.

Started on the benches yesterday. One 26"by 4.5'. And one 20"by 3'. The larger one a glued up yesterday. Then last night I started sanding. Since I don't have a planner. I used a 1/2 sheet sander. And a 5"orbital sander. Sanded to 800 grit. Is it plate smooth? Nope! But pretty darn good enough for a work bench!

I have a metal bench for the rough work. I can't wait to use the WEN 12"varible speed bench I just bought.

Thanks! I would really like to see your set up. I've thought about that too.

I have 4 inch wheels in each so the roll nicely around the shop…..really nice for cleaning and for making room for projects…..

I also have a small rolling welding cart with a vice as well….ie the whole table and vice is grounded to the welder so you just go to welding…….i have two flux migs on it one with carbon FW and one with stainless FW…..

Nice! I might go that route. Thanks for the pictures!

You are welcome and the drill table top is 25x48 that I put a few coats of poly on.

The shelves under are nice for storing all the things you need for those tasks….most of my tools revolve around making knifes though………

The welding cart came after the other two…..had to have the rolling feature and even though it was an Amazon cart it is really nice. Having the vice grounded allows me to lock my Damascus billets way tight for welding all around….ie I don’t use flux….
