Making sawdust!

Just finished the wife's Xmass gift. She acquired a headboard last summer and wanted a bench made out if it. Made a Home Depot run and acquired some southern cross pine. Got out my saws, biscuit jointer, and the Baby Porter cable compressor and went to town. Had to use the garage at our rental house so she wouldn't find out! All I need to do is give it a final sand and it will be ready! She's going to finish it.

I rarely work with anything that would make good smoke! I do collect sawdust depending on what it is to use as a structural filler to mix with epoxy when I'm building boats.

Thanks Clay. I had to drive the pass this morning over to Detroit and back. Not pretty up there. Most wrecks I've seen in years. Five on the way over, five on the way back. Idiots need to slow down. Had a Mercedes SUV blast past me at Hoodoo (after passing 3 wrecks) he went off down by lost lake. Since he was upright I didn't stop.

Thank you! I'm not sure what "Southern Cross Pine" is, but it's whatever Home Depot is selling it as. Reminds me of "Radiata" pine.

I have a good work bench, unfortunately if I built a work bench out of that headboard I'd be sleeping in my smoker!

I believe that New Zealand has the southern cross on their flag. I have bought moldings at Home Depot that were made in New Zealand.
