Major Winter Storm

We got a good snow last weekend. This is my patio. Level 3 snow emergency on Monday so no work. Level 2 on Tuesday but I couldn't get out of my garage cause of the snowy driveway (got plowed on Tues eve). Really looking foward to spring and smokin' season.

Hope you get it back tomorrow and everybody else that's in the path get ready for more. I saw a forecast that showed Miami freezing with this storm. That doesn't happen often

We called that break dancing. At your age it can be problematic....

Yeah I had to lay there a few while figuring out if anything was broke. Then flop over and crawl to the truck to get back up lol.

Still a little sore in places, but no permanent damage.

Bad part is if I had broken anything and not been able to get up, I didn't have my phone with me. It was back in the barn running my wifi since the cable was out.

On the other hand, if my phone had been in my pocket I would have fallen on it and probably broke the screen.

Doug glad nothing broke I hear what your saying about laying there till you figure out if anything is broke and if you can get back up. Keep phone on ya or a smart watch either with sim chip or good blue tooth. I have my rugged phone in a lifebox case. I've used them on my phones for a long time and have some stuff happened that tested the toughness and they protected. Hoping your area doesn't get hit again with this next one.

Thanks, Jerry. Glad nothing was broke either! I finally got on all fours and crawled to the truck so I could get back up on my feet.

Main reason I left my phone inside is that it was running my hotspot since the cable was out. All I went out to do was to start the truck to let it warm up and was going back inside while it ran awhile. In the dark, I misjudged my path that would have taken me across snow covered ice and hit bare ice. My feet flew out from under me, and I got body slammed lol.

They had to briefly close I-4 the other day for ice.
They are hinting of snow here in central FL.

Last weekend sucked had about 7" - 8" and another 6 " or so on Monday , glad it was just fluffy and not the heavy stuff like the weekend before.

Now they are calling for even more Sunday and Monday this weekend anyware from 20 - 30 cm of snow and up to 80 km winds . This is going to mess with my hair for sure.

That is at least 4 weekends ( Sunday and |Monday ) in a row.

And our temps have been around -20 C plus or minus a couple degs on either side of that during the night and most days

Today started at -19 but now it is - 1 and sunny with no wind. Think I will put my shorts and t shirt on as it seems like a summer day ..... but I know it is not. lol

We're supposed to get a few inches tonight, but the wind is making it cold cold cold. right now its 9 F wind chill, but the wind speed is supposed to ratchet up to alleged 40 mph gusts. My little stick house is kinda sorta maybe warm, but man I don't need to see next months electric bill. That and I'm gonna cheat on my diet (lol) and bake a lasagna just to run the oven.

Hell yes. I've lived in Virginia for 3+working on 4 decades, but I was born and raised in Michigan! While the food is cookin' we can go do some donuts in the Farmer Jack parking lot hopefully before someone plows it.

We have gotten probably 2" so far. Supposed to be maybe 5" today with another possible 4" tonight and the wind is really supposed to pick up tonight with gusts 40-45mph. It's currently 21℉ with the wind chill at 11℉. Actual temp tonight is supposed to get down around 10℉ and with the wind chill taking it down to 0℉. We have weather like this maybe once every 10 years or so and we're generally not prepared for it...

Yea... Wind is ripping right now... 54`... pose to get down in the mid 30's by morning with a slight chance of snow flurries... Wind off the Gulf picks up moisture which could become snow... Just along the coast... Which I'm about a mile away from...

When you get lake effect snow....off the gulf....in Florida....You know it is cold!!!! LOL!!!! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

Saw some flurries today but nothing stuck. Below freezing since this afternoon. My plan is to not go outside for a couple days lol. Being on blood thinners doesn't help with the cold at all.
Hope all that are in the real cold stuff are good through all this crap. I hate ice

The reason as soon as we can retire! I hope to snowbird from Halloween to Easter!
