I realize this may not be the right forum but here goes.

I have heard that using metal brill brushes may not be safe by leaving small bristles behind.

What do you folks use?

I saw a wood spatula like item and I've also heard of using pumice stone.

THanks.

The wood spatula scraper works well while the grates are still warm. After scrapping I heat up the smoker and spray them with a bit of cooking spray. Let that smoke off and am done.

If I used grill mats or Q mats I take those off and run them in the dishwasher.

I guess I have heard that stuff about grill brushes leaving behind wire strands, but in over 50 years of grilling, I have never had that happen. And I always use a s/s wire grill brush.
