Hey all...

i took advantage of my wife going out of town for several days, and made like 20 Lbs of summer sausage with jalapenos and pepper jack cheese.

I think it's ok. Not my best, but better than store bought. I figured i'd share some with my co-workers, so i brought about 2 Lbs, put it in the break room....and well, today they're asking to buy it from me.

I usually give it away, and this batch was for Christmas gift this year. I can make more, but the issue is...How do i price it without being an asshole that overcharges for it, and piss every one off?

The kit i used cost $20, and the meat was brisket and pork trim from all the stuff i've smoked this year. I was given some pork fat by a co-worker, and i paid her back for it with some sausage.

So....any idea what a reasonable price would be ?

Is this a one time thing or are you looking for a second income? 10-15 per lb is the range i just quickly found. Yours is better so at least 15-20 lb. So 20 lb batch minus expenses (400 - x), is it worth selling when you factor in your time?
