Smoked 20 lbs of German today. I changed one thing and came out a little too salty. I ran out of pink salt and used Morton quick tender. Is it that a big of a difference???

MTQ and Cure 1 and 2 should not be mixed together....Called nitrate poisoning.
Cure 1. part sodium nitrite (6.25%) and 16 parts salt (93.75%) and are combined and crystallized to assure even distribution.
MTQ
is a mixture of salt, sodium nitrite, sodium nitrate and sugar.
MTQ is comprised of the following ingredients:
Salt /Nitrite /Nitrate
99% /.5% /.5%
