well i seen alot of people out there  not really knowing how to lower the temp on the gas smoker, well im here to tell you how      first light the smoker bring  heat to temp you want then  turn the burner to HI  turn like you are going to turn it off this will lower the flame to the desired temp    i got my heat at the lowest of 150  but for derr 180       love the smoke hallow i have first year  3828G is the model i have
