hi all! im looking to buy my first smoker and i have 2 in mind. the one is a masterbuilt 30 electric smokehouse and the 2nd is a smoke hollow 34 lp gas smoker. does any one have any of these and if you do how are either one? thank you

Cowboy9from0hel, WELCOME!  Could you please update your location so someone can offer you help, and possibly privide better information on your specific location?

Both have proponents and they are both good.

I have the MES 40 and it is excellent.

Now there have been some wiring problems in the past with older models, but I have not experienced them.  If you are handy, you can fix that problem in less than a day.

Do a search above to get more details if need be.

You might consider either one to fit your specific space limitations, and the best idea is to study on the forum to see which is best for your specific situation.

Either way, there is tons of information available, and lots of friendly folks to assist you with any questions to get you up and going super fast.

Study up, then plan your work, and work your plan!  Either way GOOD LUCK!

ok i updated my location. i live in northeast pa. i see the mes 30 is 2.53 cu ft. the smoke hollow 34 is 504 sq in cooking space. are they about equal in cooking space? how well are both of them insulated since i would be smoking in the winter? id be smoking jerking, sausage, chicken and i like to try to attempt cheese
