Looking for something similar to...

A guy at work makes a great pickled pepper and vegetable mix.  It is delicious, but he is pretty vague with the recipe and how he makes it.  Here is what I know is in it:

-Hungarian Wax Peppers

-Onion

-Minced Garlic Cloves

-Olives with juices

-Oregano

-Cauliflower

-Water

-White vinegar

-Olive oil

-Salt

Does anyone know what this is or have a recipe that is similar?

That sounds like a version of giardiniera. Here are a couple of recipes similar, just using different peppers. Hope this helps!

That sounds a lot like what he makes, but without the celery and carrots.  I'm going to try out the hot italian version!  Thanks a lot for your help!

I finally got around to making this. I made it very similar to the hot giardiniera. I left out the carrots and celery. I used hot hungarian, banana, and bell peppers. Haven't tried it yet. I'll let you know how it turned out.

J, evening.... That really looks good......  Chef JimmyJ has a saying..... All the really good recipes are shared.... the rest are secret..... Sooooo, you ain't missing nothing.... and let him/her know I said so.... and that will go double from JJ I'm sure....
