Howdy all,
I'm just getting started in smoking. I've grilled for years and have just started shopping for a smoker. I'm looking for ideas, suggestions on what works best. Mostly right now what I'm wondering is, for a first smoker, what do you old pros recommend.....gas..wood..or elec.
I have time to shop around since I'm in western Wyoming and started today by shoveling 6+ inches of snow. I doubt I'll be smoking for a while yet but want to be ready when spring hits here.
Also how does altitude effect smoking meat? I'm at 5000 ft above sea level here at home and nearly 9000' at my cabin where I grill daily when there.
