Does anyone know what this wood is? I am sorting and piling up all the wood i have, and for the life of me i can not figure out what it is.



So far, I have Piles of Maple, Lilac,Walnut, Apple and I will have a pile of Mulberry once we cut the tree down lol. Im getting there lol.

I could be wrong but that looks like peach to me.

Honestly do not think its peach, im in Northern Ohio dont THINK there are any peach trees near me lol

It looks like it was infested with bugs, there seem to be tunnels in the cuts and the bumps on the bark may be scars from woodpeckers/nuthatches going after the bugs.

looks like it MIGHT be hawthorn or honey locust.. see all the even spaced holes in the bark. I had a honey locust that the sapsuckers killed just like that. even little holes allllllll over the trunk, drained it dry. just a guess anyways

No flaking or raised veins on the bark
