I've been cooking on "Lefty" for a while. Learned fire and heat control and have made many a meal on this cooker.
I'm no Engineer just a do it myself type of guy. I sized the axle too small (.75") and it is starting to bend a bit. This cooker is heavy, not too bad if I keep it on the concrete as far as moving / rolling. At home I use my tractor to move it. It is a real pain to take it to family events and comps. I have to load it on a tilt utility trailer with a come-along.
I have started work on putting it on a small road trailer. I bought a Craig's list utility trailer for $200 and will down size it to fit the cooker. Sorry I don't have pictures of the trailer before I started but it is a 5×8 stout trailer. It has a 1.5 × 3× .25 c-channel frame.
Ill be posting updates.

Got the old frame cut down and cleaned up. Not sure of the length yet. I'll mount smoker in a best guess location and then tow it and see how it handles.

Removed wheels and axle. Cut off legs and temporary mounted to trailer for test tow. Towed pretty well, put some additional weight on tongue side to simulate finised weight. I ended up buying a new axle because the trailer axle was bent. I just did not feel confident that I could've cut and realigned that bent axle. Will add fenders and wood rack.
