Since I have a bonless Turkey Breast and it was cured, I will probably just use it for a few dinners and slice the rest for sammies.

Two drumsticks, a little bit of mashed potatoes, and even less candied yams are all that is left here. I am waiting for my wife to go upstairs for whatever reason so I can make them disappear without getting caught.

Here's one for you but no Q. The wife made some really good white bean chili with turkey meat. Then some turkey salad sammies. Then some turkey tacos and a side of turkey meat pies. Thatwas all for the Baby shower and I couldn't be then hinse the no Q thingy.

Well we had the standard turkey dinner, then the standard late night sammie snack, then the standard leftover re-heated dinner again.

We took the dark meat and froze that for Mole; we'll make that sometime soon in the next month or so. After that, there weren't enough leftovers for turkey-pot-pie!

Had turkey sandwiches friday.Fresh made Pizza for a change tonite....

I am going to heat the potatoes, butternut squash, stuffing, pearl onions, cranberry sauce etc. tomorrow in a big skillet with gravy and turkey and pig out sunday for dinner-again...

My son brought me over what was left of the turkey

I smoked for Thanksgiving at his house - OMG is it ever good! I can't stop nibbling on it.. I'll be making sandwiches out of the good parts and chop up the rest for a smoked turkey salad for sandwiches too! Curing it and smoking it gives it that ham flavor but turkey texture and taste - an unbeatable combination! Dad used to smoke turkeys for New Year's Eve parties - he'd smoke them, chill, then the next day bone out and slice on a platter buffet style, similar to this ham I buffeted:

Us kids would beg for the leftovers - nothing better than smoked turkey to start the New Year with! Going to have to plan on doing one for this upcoming holiday, I'll try to buffet it too, even without a slicer!

did smoked turkey nachos for lunch, doing turkey pot pie for tomorrows supper, making turkey stock next weekend, and doing a turkey tortilla soup next weekend with the stock, and some of the meat I tossed in the freezer..

here are the pics:

pulled the smoked breast meat, and mixed in some Open Pit, and thai bbq sauce, and microwaved for 45 seconds, also microwaved some chili for about 30 seconds. Topped the chips with the chili, and bbq turkey, and a bag of jack cheese, toossed under the broiler, and when the cheese was melted I took the dish out, and topped the nachos with a few scoops of sour cream, chopped green onion, chopped tomato, and diced black olives. really nice snack while my bb ribs were just getting started.

tomorrows turkey pot pie will have a hand made crust using flour, lard, salt, and water.

Finally a real Thanksgiving meal.

Damn that turkey is moist and tender, Cauliflower with cheese, Mashed with the drip pan drippings mixed with some Tones turkey gravy mix to thicken it up. Of course sprinkled with CBP.

Well it's about darn time Ron! Enough of those sad double cheeseburgers and fries.....time for you and Carol to have decent dinner. Glad you finally got around to and did!
