i just got my three racks of baby backs on the smoker for this fine Labor Day. I’ll put the Tri Tip on in s few hours. The drumsticks are going on my gas grill later in the day as well. I hope that you are all having a wonderful day.

Sounds like a great Labor Day Smoke! I’ve got 2 chuckies on the smoker for dinner (salt and pepper for sammies). I also made pork shots with kielbasa, bacon, cheddar and others with havarti. And, moinks with the same cheeses and added a ketchup, Worcester and honey glaze.

Sounds great! Definitely share some pics when it’s all said and done.

Sounds good. Cant wait to see the results

Cut up a rack of spares to go into the Smokin' It model 1 today. Still experimenting with it until I get its eccentricities down. Found it takes a little longer to get up to temp than my MES30, especially with some liquid. (I poured a can of beer in the pan to the right of the element.)
Doing the 3-2-1 method, and using a 2.6 oz. chunk of a cherry limb for smoke, and Jeff's Rub. Just wrapped in foil with my bbq sauce for the second stage a few minutes ago.

So here are my drumsticks getting ready for the grill. Half of them have the kick n chicken rub and the others have the bold chipotle. I’ll grab a shot of the ribs and Tri Tip when I unwrap the ribs.

Alright I know that I said I’d wait until I unwrapped the ribs but I was there shuffling so here goes. Pecan is once again my featured wood. Some cherry and hickory have made their way in as well.

Looks good; I've never tried a whole tri-tip roast on the smoker before. Looking forward to seeing your results.

Here are the ribs. My standard style on the left with SBR honey bbq sauce. The one on the right I’m trying something different. It’s SBR sweet mustard bbq sauce.

Finally the finished plate. A plethora of delicious flavors. My wife made some baked beans and macaroni salad. We made up some corn on the cob. Then the chicken, Tri Tip, and ribs. The mustard sauce on the ribs was a bit less powerful than I anticipated but it was a great change up from the typical sweet sauce. Of course there were ribs with my typical honey sauce. All in all a wonderful meal that was incredibly satisfying.

That is a mighty fine looking meal there George!

Thanks Al. Boy it sure was delicious. I have to say that I was especially surprised at how good the sweet baby ray’s sweet honey bbq sauce was on the chicken. It was good on the ribs but it was perfect on the chicken. I would highly recommend trying that out.
