Sorry to see this so late (been busy). If we didn't have a top notch German butcher shop (Clause's) here in Indy, I wouldn't have known kielbasa could be had as fresh. Fresh kielbasa was the first sausage I made, actually, and haven't tried smoking it yet, because we gobble it up fresh LOL!
Never heard of pickled sausage, but it looks like I'll be checking it out [emoji]128578[/emoji]

Just saw this as well, love some fresh kielbas. I will be stocking the freezer up with smoked for around the camp fire up north this summer
