Kettle thermometer replacement

I recently got a replacement lid for my older 22” kettle. Before I get just the regular kettle thermometer I wanted to check if anyone had ever replaced theirs with a different/better thermometer. I also need the lid handle too so will be looking into other options for that.

I put this on my WSM . Got it at Academy sports . It's not real expensive . I mainly did it so I could see it from a distance .
I use the lid therms on all my kettles . What year lid is it ? Some have the therm in the handle .

Thanks @chopsaw the kid is brand new was a warranty replacement for the kettle I just bought so I would imagine it’s a 2023. Has the thermometer in the usual spot I think you would call it. About halfway up between the lip and the handle. I had an old kettle that I’m turning into a dedicated pizza/vortex kettle possibly making a cart for it, so a thermometer with a higher reading would be more beneficial since I won’t have to worry about keeping it in a certain range
