    My name is Jim and i just started smoking this past summer. Im 61 yrs old, live in n.e. Ohio, work fulltime and enjoy golf,yardwork,and now smoking meat. Ive had pretty good luck with my meat so far,but am very nervous about my next adventure. Im smoking a whole fresh turkey. Im going with the bacon butter with buttermilk brine. I have already made Jeffs rub. Its also going to be a beer can turkey with whole slices of applewood bacon toothpicked on outside of turkey. Im using a Masterbuilt electric smoker. Any and all suggestions and ideas will be welcomed.    Thank you
