Just finished new build w/2 55 gal drums

Finished this build last week as my new permanent home smoker...As you can see its 2 55 gallon drums and a wood stove I bought on Craigslist as the firebox.

How well did it hold temperature for you during the cook?

It holds right around 230 but I need to leave the wood stove door cracked for a little air

My new smoker likes to be at 235 but I think with a few small mods I can make it be happy at mostly any temp.I am sure my smoker is a women just when I figure her out she changes hahhahahahahahahah

Such truth! I think if I open the air inlet in the rear of the stove up a little more I'll be able to control the temp more with the damper...
