Hello to all!

After reading and soaking up the vast amount of knowledge contained on ths site I decided to join on up if for no other reason then to tell all the present members THANK YOU!  The wealth of available answers to my questions are all over these forums.  It truely is a very well ran site, I would surely say the most informative one that I have found.  At any rate after my third smoke I tried some ribs and they were excellent.  I used many different ideas that were posted in various threads and kinda "mashed 'em all together" for what I thought could be an amazing smoke of spare ribs.  They did turn out wonderfully.  I am attempting to throw in my first Qview, thread, and thank you all at once.  Had I not found this site and began reading these threads my ribs would not have turned out nearly as tastey.  My family enjoyed them so much, NO one, not even one, was left.  The store bought bbq bottle laid out was not even opened.  What a compliment to me through the knowledge that I gained on this site.

THANK YOU FOLKS for all your knowledge.  Hopefully as I get more proficient some of my ideas may in fact become "tasted and approved"

I have an MES 40.  I used the 3-2-1 method with a mixture of three or four of the different homemade rubs that I came across with brown sugar, seasoned salt, and cayenne pepper at the heart.  When I foiled the ribs I used an apple cider mixed with the rub I had concocted.  After removing from the foil I heated up the drippings remaining in the foil and glazed the ribs as a finishing sauce(?) about 15 min before final removal.  I must say they were quite tender and very juicey.

Again, I thank all the folks who take the time to post their ideas and maybe, just maybe, I may come up with something unique, or be able to spark the creativity in someone.
