Archery season starts here Saturday. I passed up a few last year and ended my season without any venison. Dont think I will be making that mistake this year. I cant wait to start making some sausage and Jerky. Also would like to can some again, Its awsome to heat a jar up and serve over tators or rice.So what are your favorite things to do with venison. Good Luck and be Safe to any hunters out there.
 
Floured back-strap cooked in bacon grease or ham or shoulder smoked low and slow.

Eat it any way...and I will be in my stand on Sat. morning  for sure God willing !  Good Luck to all those that will be doing the same and be safe !
 
I enjoy all kinds of PA Deer Meat, but my favorite has always been "Dried Venison", as in "Dried Beef".

It is actually much better than store bought "Dried Beef". IMHO
