Issues after burn out

hey guys!

Spent ages over the weekend getting my barrel prepped measured out and drilled over the weekend.
Started the burn out left it going, paint from the outside is gone! Great

Inside seems to be a different story though
When I purchased the barrel it was sold to me as a food barrel and had some fruit inside according to the seller.
It was green on the outside and a pastel green on the inside.
The outside paint has gone, the inside though seems to be mostly intact.
I’ve used a weed burner in areas to test to see if there is still paint and it appears to be so.

What do you guys think.
You can see one of the images shows two pastel colour blobs and bare metal inside, I had to heat these up for around 1 mins to get to this.

Most likely not paint and is a food safe epoxy coating to keep the metal off'n the fruit.

Others with experience in getting this off should be by to advise you, but it's prob not gonna be fun

Nope, it's gonna be something you'll have to do with a grinder I bet.

Search barrel liner or something similar in the UDS threads for solutions others have used.

If you get the barrel up to ~600-800 F, nothing is left to emit during a normal cook... Use it... Forget the stuff that's left... Coat the inside with veggie oil and do a "break in" smoke or 3 with temps up to ~300F ish....
