Went to HD to get some "stuff". made my obligatory trip thru the charcoaland grill section. Low and behold over by the junky Nexgrill charcoals there set a Masterbuilt 560 with a $300 price marker on it.
I don't know if its a mistake or what, but I've seen stranger things in that HD. I've picked up my keys three times to run over there and get a manager to see if it ws correct. I read threentire assembly manual standing there Saturday. it would be worth $100 no to have to put that F'r together. I don't need it, and have a severe disdain for masterbuilt. but.............. It seems it might fill a void for onre of my two funky MES30's
am I wrong?

I don't know if it would be worth a divorce, but it'd hard to pass up for 300 bucks, just sayin'

Is there anything else you could spend $300 or less on that would make you just as happy and not cleaver your marriage? I do that all the time, and if my wife questions my purchase, I say, "Well, Hon, it was either _____ or this."

The answer is usually, "Okay. Good choice "

Me and my wife enjoy financial freedom. I keep all the bills paid, and pretty much buy whatever I want with what I got left, and she buys whatever she wants with her money. No questions from her about what I drag home, (well, there was that one time blow up about the hooker .....), and I don't question what she spends her money on.

But you one of them thar rich people with beef on the hoof! Is your last name Clampett? Are you moving to Californy? :emoji_blush:

And $300 not much money! You can always blame it on all your enabler friends here! Lol

And it could only cause a trial separation..... which will come in handy during the break in process and to master the learning curve

You could have just bought it and tell her it is for a friend, He is going to pick it up next month, I need to break it in for him.

She probably ain't worth the 300 these days, and I ain't giving any boot to make up for the difference.

That same cooker is on sale at my HD for $400. Not enough for a knee jerk purchase from me, but at $300 I would have brought it home. I don’t need another smoker, but worst case scenario I could trade it to DougE DougE for his hooker, then we’d all be happy.

I recently found a MB560 on sale as "used" for $200, but it still had all the display stickers on it so it was assembled but never actually used. When I got it home I found out it was missing the slides, but that's a fixable problem. For me this was my 4th grill/smoker, so I understand your dilemma but I can tell you I'm VERY happy with my purchase. The ease of getting this thing to 700 degrees and searing a steak is already worth every penny of $300.
