I’ve heard the fairy is the way to go.
But 8 hours isn’t that bad of a drive! Leave at 4am and you’ll have your fattie in at the noon turn in time!

I'd need to think of a fattie that's worth doing and getting there! <I don't want to admit how bad my bacon weaving skills are!>

I'd love to come over just to see your dogs though!

Well come on out tom! We can work the dogs in the back field and Wonder Dog Pond. I can use more judges anyhow!

Hey I was just in Covington Ga. and Social Circle were the show was originally shot.

I'm actually seeing if my dad wants to go along now, since until I have a license again, he's the guy who gives me a ride, he's considering it. I told him he could likely judge bbq and taste what properly done stuff is from the pros of this school of cooking ;)

Honestly the only reason he isn't for it 100% is the actual drive, we don't mind grabbing a hotel room for a day or two Lol.

They don’t make shows that good anymore! I miss Waylon!

That’s pretty cool gmc! You were in Hazzard County! Lol!

Tom,

That’d be awesome if you guys made it out. We usually have an rv or two, and a few tents. Not sure how many we will have this year but I did hear from a few guys that are planning on camping out already.

We'd just snag a hotel room in town..or one of the towns nearby. If your weather is any thing like ours, it'll be 90f in the sun and muggy all the time ..or flooding ya out ;)

We had 90+ degree weather for the fattie contest a few years ago. Think it was in July then. It was a tough one to get through. Hopefully the move to September will bring better weather.
