Hi all ,just got the ink bird temp controller + the ink bird universal adapter for the wsm.
The adapter does not line up directly with the hole on the wsm at all,is this the way is meant to be?

that doesnt pull anything up on the inkbird site. do you have link and or pics?

C CelticT12 can you post pics of what doesnt line up? I had a WSM that I out an bbq guru product on, I have vague recollections about it.

If what I think he has this would be the part that doesn't fit.I can't see how it would fit a curved bowl.

yeah, im trying to remember how the bbq guru adapter installed. I think it went in the inside with the port sticking through a vent hole?? the adapter doesn't need to be rounded per say.

maybe post a pic of it on the WSM. I think the bbq guru one stuck thru the WSM vent hole and a bolt went thru another with a big washer or something. been too many years. It wasnt highly engineered but it worked great

putting a control on a WSM is magic! is this one doesnt work out check out the bbq guru stuff. might be a little more $$ but they work great. the partyq I had was the cheapest one they made and ran on AA batteries. They stopped making it but I loved it. simple and solid. even survived a few rain storms.

I like how to inside of the Guru has the air vent pointed down toward the bottom. I rednecked the InkBird to that. I hope the new style InkBird works better than the older ones.
