I'm thinking of building a. Smoker out of a 250 gallon propane tank or a 275 gallon. Fuel tank which is better? And what's the difference between reverse flow from the others. And I need help on the all around build. I'm in Lagrange GA and thanks for all of your advice in advance

Hi, I moved your thread into the "Smoker Builds" forum, I think you will get a lot more exposure to your questions over here, "Roll Call" is pretty much just for introductions so when you get a minute come back to "Roll Call" and tell us a little about yourself so we can give you a warm SMF welcome.

You can use the search bar at the top to find many answers to your questions. There are tons of threads on here about smoker builds and explanations of the differences.

  Welcome to here Lol

Take the Opinions add a nickel & get a cup of coffee lol. Just Kidding, I have Owned and Made Both, My advice is assess  Your needs. How Much do You Cook? Whats the most You Might Cook? Then  decide How Big You can Go or should , Many will Say Go big or go home & Thats My Motto But Its way More expensive to Operate a Big Machine. ( I mean It takes more wood and More coal to get Much less maintain temps)  It Takes longer to reach your Core temp (of the cooker ) .  and storage for a Large cooker is an Issue for many, some Neighborhoods have city ordinances against things in driveways & such, some homeowner organization frown on them also.  But  bare in Mind 250 or 275 there's Not Much difference In Size 250 makes a Nice size smoker you'll likely Never outgrow.  I have 2 4' cookers and am about to start one from a 6' X 24" Tank ( also Propane ) I'd rather it been 30" but it was cheap.  also Here I have a Guy That I get Old 100 lb LP bottles for CHEAP!!  they are 16" X about 42" when They Cut The tops and Bottoms out..  I  sell Them for Use as Home smokers or Grills  ( about $15.00 per section ) get 2 cut one in 1/2 for Firebox Use other half for Fire Pit to Pre- Burn oak or Hickory for Coals Anyway Good luck
