Hello,

I'm Joe and I'm new to these forums...this sounds like a anonymous style meeting.  I'm currently in North Las Vegas, about to ship out to S. Korea for a year.  I'm in the US Air Force and have been attempting smoke products for about 11 years.  I got interested while deployed to Turkey when tons of my buddies were turning out ribs and such on our 1 day off a week.  Heat control was always my issue so I bought a MES40 last year fathers day (my dogs treated me).  Had good success turning out whole chickens, turkeys, a pork loin or two.  Getting smoke out of that darn thing at 100 is not doable so I recently bought an AMNPS and turned out some good cheese.  Would love to do some pulled pork and TONS other things.  I'm hoping to improve my skills my year in Korea if I've got the space there for a smoker.  I will prolly get one of those Weber ones and get another AMNPS.  I welcome myself to the forums and I'm sure some of you will too...BTW, i'm one big smart a**!

I have an MES 40 and it's pretty great for most things but as you said, no smoke at lower temps...smart move on the AMNPS.
