I dare you to watch this video and tell me it didn't give you chills.  As a former soldier the USA chants get me every time.  I must admit I am not that big into soccer I know the rules and all but I am big into the United States and will be glued to screen tomorrow.

Yes that was very touching and I cheered right behind everyone else with the chants of U-S-A. It just goes to show you that if you like soccer or not we always stand behind the USA no matter what. So I also will be glued to the TV on saturday for the next game. It just kinda hits you when you think of  what a great nation this place really is. I just wish more folks felt like that too sometimes.

Yeah, that brought me to tears.  I have played soccer my entire life and, for one summer, I represented the USA playing club teams all over Europe.  Every year a group of the best high school players (from all over the country) travel there.  While we were overpowered almost every game (come one, we were playing professionals.  Granted they were our age or a few years older but they were paid to play) the crowd always stood behind us.  Almost every game we were overcome with emotions as the crowd embraced us and pulled/cheered for us more than the home teams.  When we left the stadium (after a win or loss) people would gather to wish us luck in the next game and to tell us to keep our heads high.  It is as if the international community wants (or wanted) the USA to be contenders on the world stage.

Watching this brought back so many memories of that summer.  Forget the travel/playing/etc... I loved it most for the locals that supported us.

I was traveling this past week and I was watching the game on my iPhone (using Slingbox) while in a meeting.  When he scored I got up and started yelling.  Nobody understood what was going on but once I explained we put the meeting on hold for about 30 minutes.

Very cool, and I don't mean to kill anybody's buzz, but IMO one clip from France and one more from South Africa hardly counts as a "world reaction".  All of the other identified clips were taken in the US.
