I swear after having to replace TV, AVR, Health Ins and now my hard drive on pc went bad. I ready for this stuff to take a break! I guess what do they say "It could be worse"

Wife's hearing aids. $$$$
Refrigerator. $$$
Loveseat. $$

I too, just had a hard drive fail yesterday. $
Fortunately I run raid 1, so still functioning.

You scheduled that vacation at the right time! I just replaced my refrigerator. Working on a mountain of paperwork to appeal the monthly premium of my part B which starts in December. They base it off 2023 when I made roughly 5 times my current income as I was working and got tons of bonuses that year as well. Putting together all the evidence and filling out the form is a pain in the butt as is scheduling a meeting to go through it.

I install pretty much everything on drive D which is the one that went bad. At least i still have my old computer but no gaming until I get new drive and everything re-installed. Oh what a pain!

I usually fall back on "it could be worse"...but the last 12 months have been an absolute s**t show and the show is on through the end of the year. Probably one of the worse of my life.

As long as you do regular backups this is a minimal thing.

Lemme tell ya about bad bad luck. I could have a lotto ticket and the only numbers in the machine were the ones on my ticket. I'd still lose lol.

Gladly trade ya bad luck. Redoing hvac in main part of house which cost a fortune. Our other unit shot the crap too. Ughh. To top it off the brand new hvac in detached garage shop rec room decided to stop working. More ugh. (This just cost a 80 service call). During this thieves decided to clean out all the boats in our dock. I was doing work on some electrical and had $400 worth tools nicely packaged in a 5 gal bucket stashed on our boat taken. This week they hit it again. Gotta keep head up. Better times coming. I played best round of golf in years last weekend. Steak was tasty this evening. Got my rfx probes all replaced and ready to go. New planer arrived and getting set up.

Yeah I have had my extended hard drive unplugged a couple of weeks while doing Speaker Calibrations on my new AVR. Mainly lost some gaming progress but all that work I did calibrating speakers is lost. Back up would of happened today. Going to have to uninstall a lot of things and install again. I just use the old windows backup.

I let things get to me. I have several spots on my legs now that look and feel a lot like shingles. I hope not. Had before and took shots after that but guess you can still get. Can happen when you get stressed out.

It's unusual to get it a second time but a lot stress can absolutely bring it on.The sooner you get on an anti-viral like Valtrex the better.

My case was mild compared to what I've seen on others but it still sucked.
