I have one.  I haven't used it for smoking yet, since I am a newbie and not set up at all, but I _love_ it for barbecuing and in-oven roasting.  It paired easily with my phone.  The range is excellent.  I enjoy seeing the map of who is grilling what, where- especially if they post pics.  AT&T has the black one in stock now for $60.
