And it was gooood!  I made a gravy with the juices and it took it to a different level.  I still love Tri tip med rare on the grill, but this experiment was a success.


 
Well.. it looks like brisket now ;)
im sure it tastes good... but thats what the gravy is for right at that IT..:biggrin:

It looks good, What would you compare it to?

Not sure what to compare it to.  It wasn't as fatty as Brisket, but was better than any roast beef I've had.  I doubt I will take another Tri tip past the Med rare stage though.  If I hadn't of got such a great buy on them, I wouldn't have experimented.  The Wife raved about it, so all is well
