Hey Y'all

I just paid the invoice on the lang 36 patio i ordered last week. So its official I'm getting my new smoker. the lady from lang said she thought they were making a delivery to NC next week.

Now I'm so excited i feel like a kid a week before Christmas. I honestly think i have goosebumps. Anyone else go through this over a smoker?

I will take plenty of pics of it when i get and i will upload them. i have 19# packer brisket to break it in with. (after seasoning and cleaning it of course)

Thanks for reading and if you wouldn't mind leave a comment as to what you think i should name her.

Happy Smoking,

I got a call a couple hours ago, and the delivery driver said he would be at my house at 10am tomorrow morning with my new smoker!

I will take some pics and post them.

As promised here are some pics of my new lang smoker. My wife named her Black Betty ( like the Ram Jam song)

I have Cured, clean and smoked with her. she is awesome smoker. i will post a full review of her soon, but in the mean time here are more pics.

unloading it in my driveway on saturday

it has two cooking racks the top slides out and drain valve for grease drain.

Getting her ready to cure and clean her. i used Wesson oil (shown in the spray bottle) and some pam spray to cure the cook areas and then a garden hose for steam cleaning.

Funny thing i had two people in my neighborhood that i have never met stop by my house and want to talk to me about my new smoker yesterday. they were both really nice and were both smoking enthusiasts. I guess BBQing in the font of the house either makes you ghetto or just invites people to enjoy your hobby with you. Like i said i will post a full review soon but if you are thinking aof an off set stick burner i know langs can be pricey but ti something that you will love. My only regret is i have to work today and i cant smoke with her again!

thanks to everyone for their congrats and for looking,

Happy Smoking

Wow Aaron, that is a nice looking smoker. I was considering a Lang as well, but then I bought a gravity feed Assassin 24 instead.

thank you!

I'm not familiar with the Assassin but i know gravity feed smokers make some good Q. I looked at a lot of different smoker and i really wanted another offset and really wanted reverse flow so i went with what i think is Cadillac for reverse flow. Others may differ but I'm happy to get the smoker i wanted and that's the main thing!
