Ok so here is what I've got. Me and my father in law found a huge cooker of some sort in a field behind his house. It's a vertical cylinder about 6' diameter and stands about 5' tall. It has a exhaust coming out of the top but it's very short. It also has some sort of pulley system built into it that raises and lowers the huge shelf inside. There is no fire box and no bottom. We think it either set on top of some sort of fire box or they dug a hole and ran a fire in the ground. Anyway we are thinking about dragging it out and mounting it to a trailer, get rid of the pulley and add another shelf. Does anyone see any problems we may run into with trying this? Also we will need to build a firebox does anyone know how big that would need to be? I'm a little worried about the flat top and the overall area inside as far as keeping consistent temps. What do you guys think? Wish I would've taken a few pics. I'll get some next time I'm out there but it's kinda hard to get to it.

Hard to imagine what you have without seeing pics. Sounds like it would make a great argentine style parrilla. Google: argentine parrilla to get an idea of what i am talking about.

Ok sounds good. I'll try to get pics when we get it pulled out of the field. Thanks
