I have juniper berries, now what?

I remember Debi recommending using juniper berries, but I can't seem to find that info again.

My neighbors visited their folks in New Mexico over Thanksgiving, and brought some back for me.

Use them in making Pastrami............most likely where you have seen them mentioned on the forum.

You can crush/grind them add try added it to most anything for a new flavor twist, but he Pastrami is the most common use for anything mentioned around here.

I add juniper berries whole to my turkey brine. They add a distinct flavor.

They're also good in a ham brine.
